I just bought my first John Deer! Its a model 1020 and I am wondering which loader will bolt onto the existing mounting holes?
Thanks
Doug

I added a 37 loader to my 1020. I wouldn't do it again. I would go for a newer model like a 47.

Make sure you get a loader that came off a closed center hydraulic machine (I believe all 1020's are closed center and TXJim can confirm that). I bought a
loader off a 820 JD and it had open center hydraulics and ended up having to change out the valve. That added a bunch of cost. I ran my return line to the
hydraulic filter housing under the right foot board. My tractor luckily had a factory port in that housing so I did not have to
drill one or find a good used housing.

If you find a 47 make sure it came off a three cylinder tractor. There are 3 different mounting brackets and 2 different sub frames. If it was
on a 2510 it will not fit your tractor even with the correct brackets. If it was on a 4 cylinder it will need different rear brackets. Tom
