2840 loadshaft seals

Hello
I need to replace the seals and bushings in my 2840 load shaft.
Will the shaft need to be totally removed ?
I have a front loader on the tractor and I think it will have to be removed if the shaft needs to come out.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

It would be worth an attempt of removing retaining bolt & spacer then push L/D control shaft in far enough to expose seal on one side. Then R&R seal, slide shaft back in place then repeat procedure on opposite side. Another option is remove seal support that bolts to trans case to replace seal. Put L/D control lever under seat in position D. When reinstalling parts removed use shim washers to remove any side to side movement of L/D shaft

Replaced the seals on my 2940 as Jim suggests. Had a loader also but could do the seals just by shifting the rod side to side.
