My 420 has started making a noise when the clutch is pushed. It seems to work fine but makes a little noise when the
pedal is pushed. When fully engaged it does not seem to make the noise. Everything seems to work fine. This is my
first dubuque model, I am thinking maybe a throwout bearing going bad? Thanks

Not real sure... but the clutch feels right. I got it running last weekend. I let tractor run for about an hour and that is when I noticed the noise. Clutch seems smooth. Noise is at flywheel/clutch. I have a manual and will look into it more this weekend but was curious what someone more familiar with these than me thought. Not a easy place to get to..lol!

I have a 430, much the same. I have split it several times, not a big job. If you put blade or weight on the 3 point rear end will balance out. May be throwout bearing. They are greasable through a covered hole on right side I think. Little plate moves out of the way. If beyond that split may be in order. I have pulled front part foreword with floor jack under front. If wide front block so it can't roll sideways.
