350 sickle mower

A 350 is a relatively complex implement to hook up correctly. Do you mean the bar in the center of the hitch, that pivots in the middle? The tractor side hooks to the drawbar, by use of a chain of a certain length. Its what pulls the outer bar up, when the 3 pt is raised. You really need to get a manual to understand all the adjustments.

(quoted from post at 19:47:34 01/12/22) A 350 is a relatively complex implement to hook up correctly. Do you mean the bar in the center of the hitch, that pivots in the middle? It will be best if you get the Operator's Manual to have all the set up info. You can download and save the Operator's manual for free at this link: https://techpubs.deere.com/ That is the homepage for the JD Ag technical bookstore. On that homepage, click on Equipment Publications. On that page click on the box that says Model Search. Change that to Part # /Keywords. Enter OME58660 for the earlier serial number 350 and 450 Mowers. OME87606 says it is for serial number 800001 and after. Enter the number for the manual you want in the search box and search. The manual should come right up. At the right you will see the option to download or view. I suggest download and save so you can print sections or all of it if you want.

Thought I would like to have a 350, but set one up last summer for a friend. Rather have a No. 5. You don't have to have the 3 pt. lever move much to raise and lower, I moved the adjustment stop on the lever so it only traveled maybe 2 inches. Mounted this one on a 3020 jd. Had to take the right side sway block off and make one from 1 inch square tubing. This mower had cat 1 pins so maybe this is why I had to take sway block off(narrower frame?). I did use bushings to fit the pins better to the 3 pt. Takes some adjusting to get the bar to raise correctly. Put a new belt on also and wasn't fun either.

Note the lift clevis (Key 8), lift chain (Key 9), drawbar clevis (Key 10B), and drawbar chain (Key 17).

If your mower has all of these OEM parts, then attaching to the drawbar is fairly straightforward.

If your mower does not have all of these parts, then you will have to improvise with what you have available.

Take a look at the photos below of several [b:654c4848f0][i:654c4848f0]farmer tech[/i:654c4848f0][/b:654c4848f0] improvisions.

Hope this helps.

Deere makes an adapter to get the mower to fit Cat 2. Kinda looks like an A frame over the top of the 350 main frame.

My 350 mower did not come with the bracket that James Howell shows. I found a large screw pin shackle where the pin is almost the same diameter as the hole in the drawbar, and it works very well. Attached are photos showing the mower attached to my 630, and it also works fine on my 4020. I also included some photos that shows the adaptor bracket to category 2 that Steve mentioned.

Never noticed those brackets on any 350 around here, partsbook says its for a quick hitch. They would help.
