I just picked up a 730D standard with pony start. Its got
an adjustable front axle and a factory 3 point. I was
wondering are these rare options on a standard tractor ?
Ive seen standard tractors but never with a 3 point. I got
it from SW Kansas. SN 7304355. Ive looked it up and
should be a 59 model. Ive got the Diesel engine running
by belt starting it from another tractor. And I just got the
pony running yesterday. When I engaged the pony to
start the diesel it doesnt do anything. The gear doesnt
come out and engage the flywheel of the diesel it just
spins and thats it. Maybe something is froze up in the
pony clutch or transmission Im thinking . Thanks mark.

I have a 70D std that has the same options that I found in SW Kansas near Syracuse. Standard model tractors are very common in that area all the way up into Canada.

Adjustable front axle and 3pt were options on those standard tractors. Dad bought a new 730D in 1959 without either, but did get PTO. These options are probably a little more rare but still lots of them were built. Usually on the non 3pt models they got the wide swing drawbar, which was another option. Yes, they were popular in this part of the country. I have a 730LP standard with solid front axle and no 3pt.
