JD 620 clutch pulley rebuild

Main thing is to replace the T bolts. Then see how tight the floating disks are on the driver. If they are sloppy replace them. Then look at the toggles and dogs and the pins. If they are sloppy replace. There is a pin in the pulley that keeps the sliding collar from turning. If it is worn you will want to replace it or at least renew the hole it fits in. Martin Tractor parts is a good source for clutch parts. Bearing # is JD 7576 which crosses to CE1210 and JD 7943 which crosses to M1210EL.

I rebuilt my 620 clutch two years ago. Dont really use the tractor much but the rebuilt clutch was sure worth it. You can still get the T bolts from Deere and at that time they cost $220.00 bucks a piece. I think I got them at Steiner for twelve dollars a piece.

Hello.

I was going to replace my bearing, and have dumped a lot of time and effort into finding the pieces for affordable prices. I've decided to leave the bearing as is and see if I still have issues after the new faces and springs and washers go on, especially since I failed to locate the inner race completely.

Since I worked so hard on it, I figured I could at least put my notes here to help others who might find this through Google and such.

bushing is f1390r - this goes on the crankshaft, the rear of the pulley should sit on it
I found it all over. Steiner, Yesterdaystractors, tractorpartsasap, Jensales, Amazon, Ebay price ranging from $40 to $60.

13 F 1394 R ( ) Retainer, bearing - this is on the outside of the pulley holding the outer-bearing-race in
no cross-reference found
I found one on Amazon for $31

14 JD 7576 ( - ) Race, inner - this is on the crankshaft, pulley should come off without it
crossed to: ROLLWAY CE1210, ROLLWAY E1210103, ACDelco AE1210, NDH AE1210
I can't find it anywhere. Jd has it for around $150

15 JD 7943 ( ) Race, outer, with rollers - this is in the pulley when it comes off. It's the outer race of the bearing and the rollers are in it.
crossed to: Caterpillar 5H1901, Hyatt 120CS, Bower M1210EL, Rollway1210BAC, CHRYSLER 92530, CHRYSLER YR46B1, CHRYSLER E92530, GM 9152464, GM 12333822, , GM 117252, GM 7450944
I found the Caterpillar one on Ebay for $58 new.

Sorry if you follow these numbers and get the wrong thing. I'm following other people's numbers that mostly have appeared on this forum. You can freely view pictures on the Deere parts catalogue for the tractor, and then compare the pictures of your cross-referenced part with that.

Once my springs and washers go on, and new plates, if it still makes noise then taking the pulley back off once my brother can put his puller on it is not much of a problem.

In theory, if I am not mistaken, the bearing only rolls when the clutch is disengaged. If the bearing is super sloppy though the pulley could be trying to droop where the bearing is.
