4630 Power Steering

I got a chance yesterday to spend a little bit of time on this. I got the cowling off from around the dash and the plate underneath and took a look around. As Tim S thought, the hoses are all connected, and it appears to be the seal on the steering shaft. I had picked up a seal and thrust washer earlier, and was looking over disassembly, which leads me to my question. The steering wheel is telescoping with the hub providing the mechanism to lock it in position, so how do I get that off to work on pulling the steering wheel? I didn't get very aggressive checking it out because it was pretty cold, and I didn't want to risk busting the plastic.

Hi, Remove the deere logo off.
You will see a nut holding the tightening disc. Remove nut, pull the disc, usually by hand or with simple tools. Then remove the steering wheel using 2x 5/16 screws to pull on the steering wheel hub, after you are done removing the steering wheel nut.
Then you have couple snap rings, bushibgs, etc...not bad at all.
