Deere 4230 right side axle housing removal

I have a 4230 built mid 1975.Gonna replace
bearings etc..as there is quite a bit of up
and down play in axle but not leaking oil
yet.So in order to separate axle housing
from trans case looks like one brake line
needs to be removed and cab supported on
that side.My question is will axle housing
assembly clear trans case before the
outside of housing contacts bottom of cab
frame.Looks like it should slide out far
enough and then lower axle housing assembly
down to clear bottom of cab. Thanks,Paul

I seem to remember pulling the axle housing off our 4440 as a late teenager without too much problem. So you should be good.

Thanks for reply.Gonna pull cab bolts and
jack the cab up with a bottle jack between
rockshaft arm and a 2x6 under the cab.Have
wheel and tire off right now as I was
having new rubber mounted.Thats when I
noticed outer dust seal had lost the fit on
axle.Checked play in axle...too much.

Watch your linkages, plan on doing both sides and do the brake pads while apart. Original pads are brown with brass hairs, if so replace now.

Do as Matthies suggested and watch out for pinching the back of the hood as the cab is jacked up.

That brings back memories when JD had a warranty program to change sides of rear axle housings/final drives on early model 4430's. I remember supervising R&R of several rear axle housings on those models. Dealer where I was employed had special tool with a jack to "safely hold the removed wheel & axle" that simplified the process
