Do I really need something to hold this screw in like it appears it was originally? If so, ideas?

Did you see the drawing of the little wire retainer clip in the parts drawing?

If you can't find a clip and are worried about the screw coming loose put a tiny dab of silicone gasket maker on it. That will seal and and prevent any possibility of it shaking loose, yet not impede removing the screw the next time you check the oil.

That being said, little Internationals with a similar fan hub do NOT have any sort of screw retainer and do just fine.

Perfect. I was thinking the same, but this
is the only oil screw retaining hub I have
and wasn't sure. Thanks.
