Horrizontal muffler, jd 430

Any one know where I can get a horizontal muffler for a JD430? Not listed here. Requires different manifold for verticle muffler

A search with the part number AM3224T turns up at least one place (Sharp's Antique Tractor Works, Inc.) that says they have them. I don't know anything about the vendor, you would need to check them out.

thanks for the reply. Not sure if I will go that way or bite the bullet and get manifold for verticle muffler. They ahv e those on here. I don't really need the low profile anymore and horizontal muffler gets beat up from loader.

On my 40 the horizontal muffler uses the same manifold, a cast pipe curls down from the manifold outlet and out under the hood. Then a regular muffler installs horizontally. Maybe the 430 is different ???

It is different. The 420 uses a different manifold and muffler setup than your 40.

If you go to a vertical muffler and manifold, I would buy your existing manifold.

Assuming it is one of these:

M3957T or M3435T

I could make the horizontal muffler, verticle by turning it up. The problem is it would interfere with #35 loader. Loader puts a dent in it anyway.
