Good day all!
So, been having trouble getting the hydraulic filter cover to seal up on our early MY synchro 3020. Tends to just weep in the summer but turns into a fast drip during cold weather operation.
Thought I had it figured out the last time it was apart as someone(likely me) had installed the smaller seal used in the later model tractors. This machine is equipped with the R26319 filter cover that doesn't have the lip / step for retaining the seal like the later machines, so I installed the larger R39596 seal to no avail. I had also looked closely at the cover and the trans. case for imperfections or cracks at the time and didn't notice anything but may have missed something?
Planning on taking apart again and have magnifying glass close look at the cover and case and if nothing is obvious maybe track down a later MY filter cover with the step(R39794)....
Thoughts?
