Could you convert a late model A to have live pto by replacing it's pto assembly with that from model 60, and also adding the hydrualic pump from a 60?

The hydraulic pump can be done by replacing the complete governor housing assembly from a 60.

The PTO isn't possible, as with the live PTO there are two gears in the reduction gear housing- one for the transmission, one for the PTO. The A only has one.

For the hydraulics, do like coonie said and use a 60 governor. I put one on a 1949 A, it bolts on.

If you just bolted a 60 live PTO on,, it would run backwards..and you would still need the drive gears off the crankshaft..plus several other issues..

Innes company in Iowa offered what they called a constant PTO drive kit for A's , B's and G's. Saw a picture once but never saw one in real life.
