Working on a 3010 that the pto would slip and the traction clutch was worn out. Split the tractor and found that the clutch was shot and the flywheel was in bad shape. We had the flywheel machined and installed a new new dual stage clutch assembly. Checked and adjusted the clutch fingers with the JD tool and adjusted the pto clutch linkage on the lever according to the book. Reassembled the tractor and everything works except the pto will turn when not engaged at higher engine speed. At an idle the pto does not turn but once you throttle it up it will start spinning and you can slow it down and stop it by pulling back on the clutch lever. It does this with a mower hooked up as well but once it gets going you can't stop it no matter how hard you pull back on the brake. With the clutch disengaged the engagement assembly/throwout bearing is not touching the clutch fingers and the clutch disc is loose in the clutch assembly as you can move it back and forth. I split the tractor again and disassembled the clutch and verified that the disc and pressure plate are not warped. Is this just turning from centrifugal force and the pto brake is worn out and can't stop the drag? Thanks for any help
