5020 powershift

760A

FYi, forum member ftd860 is working on putting together a 6030 powershift.

Do a search. There's been some interesting discussions.

(quoted from post at 22:09:07 12/10/21) Wasnt there a scraper version of the 5020 with a powershift

I had heard of a 5020/6030 powershift being put together within the last few years. I thought he was using a different engine too. Not a 619 but another engine from a Deere 4wd articulated

I seen a couple last summer locally with the powershift and one had the JD 8850 motor and the other had a 318 Detroit in it , I am sure very pricey units after all the work is done

Not as easy as just switching rear end like the RARE 4320 that everyone likes to give the guy in NewYork a hard time about.

It is not much more than swapping rear ends, ecxept for the extra machinings.
I think Renner stok farms are going to swithch their 12v71 5020 to Powershift this winter.

I am also build8ng a 4320 powershift hfwd.
All it takes is a junk 4020 ps rear end, an entire front for a 4320, and a 4020 hfwa and a ps hfwa control valve for the switches.
Only the aluminum cast spacer between dash and clutch housing needs to be taken off the 4320, and some hoses or pipes needs lengthening.

One day i hope to line up the 5620 ps, the 4620 ps, the 4320 ps, and built a 3420 ps using the 500c trans i have.
This way all the late 20 series 8 speed powershift sizes will be represented.
I.only have the 4620 and parts for next two. Neefs loads of parts for the 3420!

Mine still a slow progress. I was missing the flywheel. Just got it from Keller salvage in KS.

Who is keller salvage? any contact information for them?

:D

Well, neither I know.
The company is "Weller Tractor Salvage Inc" in Great bend. I called them because they have scrapped many John Deere equipments, and among them many Deere 770. Those have same flywheel as 760A. A tractorhouse parts search did find a few as well at some dealers accross USA.
