Original rain flap

I found this rain flapper in a box I got from an auction the other day. It is the more pointed one. The squared one is one I found in my dads barn. The auction find doesn't have a part number like my dads. Anyone have any ideas what they might have come off of? I have another rain flap that says for 2 5/8's exhaust and it's the same size as the auction flap. My dad's is a little smaller.

I dont know what those would mate up to but thats quite a stroke of luck to 'find' one of those in a auction box lot. Those things (as you prolly already found out) are worth a surprisingly decent amount of money.

The larger one most likely is for a 3010,3020,4010 or 4020. The smaller one is either a side console tractor or a 2510. If the small one is a 2510 one I would be very interested in it. Tom

The smaller one belonged to my dad. It has a part number and I did a Google search last night. It comes up as a late model 4020. My dad did have a late model side console 4020 but sold it before I was born. I didn't think that was possible as small as it is but remembered they had a different shaped muffler. I figure I'll keep it but not sure what I'll do with the other one. I have two 2510's and never thought of trying it out on them.

I forgot the late 4020's had the oval muffler. I won't sell that one but haven't decided what I'll do with the other one. I'll try it on my 4010 and see if it fits but I'm sure it's to small. I'm guessing it fit a 3010-20.

I didn't know that. I always assumed they were smaller. The 3020s developed a bad reputation in this area and the way the dealer handled it didn't help. To this day a 3010-20 is uncommon around here. The 4010-20's were definitely popular.

Speaking of finding one, was working on a tractor for a lady that had a few tractors and look at the ground under the tractor and see something just sticking out of the dirt. Got a prybar and started digging out what happened to be the same rain cap as the auction find. Had to be there 10 years, as the ground was hard. Took it home, but doesn't fit anything I have yet.
