MC Starter Rebuild

Hi All,

I have a 3 roller MC and have been having some trouble with the starter engaging so I took it out and disassembled to take a closer look. The tag on the outside says its a Delco Remy 1107064 and I managed to find a diagram for it in the parts catalog. Trouble is my armature and starter drive doesn't look like the diagram. Any ideas what this one is and what replacement parts I should be looking for?

Thanks

Simon

Online sources match your starter # to John Deere MC applications. The exploded view in your catalog would most likely look
like what you have if it was all together.
I don't have any local sources for parts and repair anymore, sometimes new bushings and a set of brushes will bring new life
to a worn starter. But because most everything electrical has to be ordered, I generally lean toward a complete rebuild,
armature, field coils, and new hardware. Brillman.com has many parts, ebay seller s and d repair also has many parts
available, I would call or email them for requests as they do not list everything they carry online. Another ebayer I have
dealt with is mju22829b09 , he is a rebuilder and does excellent work.

Not sure where you are located but I send all my stuff to Matt Uricchio in Suffield, CT. Good work, good turn around time, always
very happy with the work.

I recently got a 12 volt generator from him and I'm also very happy with the unit, looks and works as new. About $40.00 shipping both ways from California.
