Serial number checks to be a 1963. I believe the clutch is shot it barley moves has all gears PTO works. This was my grandpas tractor he brought it new my cuzz is in procession of it. All he does is mow a field with it a couple times a year. He said he bound it up on a large clump of grass then the issue came about. He can with my help split it he has a nice shop with a chain hoist. He said he rebuilt the engine 25 years ago he has forgot how he took it apart.

It does not look like it has an external adjustment for the clutch ?
It has a full pedal with no play.

If he splits it it looks to me the hood comes off and the steering shaft will slip out of the splines near the back ?

I have ran this tractor back in the 60's 70's only to plow with I take it, it has a 2 stage clutch. I do remember the clutch is either in are out there is no in-between. You did not slip it is this normal are is there a clutch you can feather as normal.

Thanks for any tips...
