I am looking at a 420 John deere. It looks good, runs fine but, When I raise the three point hitch. It makes a very loud noise. I also don't believe the arms are coming up as high as they should. Any help will be appreciated.

Could be low on hyd. oil and the noise you hear is the hyd. pump cavitating.
