John Deere 630 power steering

I have a John Deere 630 tricycle front end.

Power steering is leaking from the seal at the very bottom, between the wheels.

I havent been able to find anyone in our area, west central Arkansas, to repair it.

I have heard some folks say this is a hard job to do.

Have any of you guys repaired the pedestal?

Does Deere still have the kit to repair it, if not, where can it be purchased?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Just finish repairing a john deere 60,John deere had all the parts.orings, gaskets, cork seal. Cost around 100.00 for parts.

Dunno why guys always think there's a "kit" for everything????

The individual parts are still available from DEERE including the O-ring that's causing your leak, the last part out and the first part in when rebuilding the steering pedestal.

NOT rocket surgery, and having the SM2050 factory 2-cylinder power steering manual at hand is a BIG plus!

Well, in this case, he's not wrong, just too late. There used to be a kit, AR30476R, that had all the parts you'd ever need to rebuild a power steering assembly in all two cylinder Waterloo tractors, except the 820/830. It was great. Too bad they don't offer it anymore. I bought and used a couple back in the day when I was rebuilding my P/S systems. But individual parts are still available, except for one of the thickness worm gear shims. I think the thick ones are NLA.

Gonna need to support front of tractor as the tricycle front end will come off. And also need engine hoist/cherry picker to help separate the pedestal.
