5065e oil strainer

The parts list for a 5065e shows a number RE45864 oil strainer in the hydraulics section for a tractor with a 9 X 3 transmission.

Can anyone confirm that this is/is not a suction screen for the hydraulic pumps?

Looking at the parts diagram, it certainly appears the RE45864 "filter" (Key #5) supplies oil to the engine-mounted hydraulic pump through the large steel line (Key #10)

Sorry, I've got a bunch of numbers jotted down here and posted the wrong one. That one is indeed a filter. The one in question is RE72875.
Looks to be accessed from back near the PTO shaft.

For any one on here that starts to have weak or no hydraulics after changing Transmission oil in a 5000 series ,,it is a must to use low Viscosity transmission oil,, since the pump needs to draw oil Through the filter,,it wont draw the heavy oil well or not at all.I'm just tossing that out there...

This tractor was a recent purchase, the new owners know little or nothing of the history. It has around 1300 hrs on the meter, the marking on
the hydraulic filter shows just over 100 hrs. Loader and three point operation indicate the pumps are starving for oil. I thought I'd start
with a filter and a look at the suction screen if it has one. I'm assuming this is it, just hoping to confirm that.

My bet is they put the thicker oil in it,,,change the oil to Low Viscosity and it will be okay,, I see this happen a lot..people chase their tail looking at different things,, even changing the hydraulic pump,, only to find out it was just the wrong oil..

They are getting the filter and ten gallons of oil from the local Deere dealer. They have three other 5000 series tractors out there running oil from the same dealer and have had no oil related problems that I'm aware of. I'm guessing it's Hy Gard, but not sure yet.
