Ferrules for Model H fuel line?

I removed the fuel line from my Model H and didn't see any ferrules, should I add them when I build a new fuel line?

If so, what size should I get?

The original fuel lines had "glands" brazed or silver soldered to them at each end.

If you still have the original, correct fittings that is what you need.

Part # for the "gland" is E2150R, and the matching nut is #A2069R still available from John Deere and if you GOOGLE those numbers, from many other sources, as well.

All "H's" had soldered-on "glands" at the ends of fuel lines, not "ferrules" as we know them today. The nut has the same threads as a standard compression nut of today (1/2-24). I've never tried it, but it appears to be possible to substitute the original Deere material with a 5/16" ferrule and new compression nut, although the taper angles on compression ferrules don't match the angle of the E2150R gland and may not seat as well.

(quoted from post at 18:18:24 03/06/21) wore out, you are exactly right. Didn't mean to repeat your info, you posted just a little before I did.

Dan, I saved your drawing for future reference.
