JD 3010 wheel replacement

Hello Everyone:
I've got a 1961 3010 diesel. The tires are gradually going flat and valve stems and wheels around the valve stems are rusted. I've been advised to get new wheels, but so far no one can find them. Only suggestion has been to have them custom made, but I wouldn't even know where to start with that. They are nine bolt wheels. Tires are 18.4-26.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions about this?

You need to search for "Double bevel rims". I found a 26x12 at Miller Tire for $250. I have a 3020 gas utility with the same rear wheels. Tom
 
Your rim doesn't look that bad to me. Rather than the expense of new/used rims you can restore yours for a
lot less. Demount the tires while still on the tractor then take the rims off the center disks,
Cut out the bad area around the stem holes and weld in a piece of the same gauge steel then drill new stem
holes in a different location. Use a power wire brush on the rusty areas and prime with Rustoleum. Apply a
final coat of paint and you're done except for remounting.
 
Unless there is a lot of damage we can't see, repair and paint your rims. That tire appears to have tube in it. Tube tires gradually going flat indicates tube leaking. Have you tried replacing the valve cores? When you are fixing the rims make sure the insides of the tires are inspected for thorns or such. Install new quality tubes and you should be fine.
 
Thanks everyone. I had been hoping I could get away with a repair rather than a replacement, and it sounds like that might be possible. I really appreciate all the input and suggestions.
 

Several yrs back I had a out of work gas pipeline welder friend of mine R&R a section of a 26'' rear rim on my JD BO. I purchased a different style 26'' rear rim to cut the section with the valve stem hole from. He did a very good repair job.
