I recently purchased a john deere 2240 and the Cav injector pump was spraying diesel out the top cover. I ordered the reseal kit and replaced the gasket but now its doing the same thing. It ran good with no leaks and then it blew out the gasket spraying out diesel everywhere. Anyone have an idea of what could cause this? Is there a problem withbthe injector pump or justva bad gasket.

Usually when they are leaking that bad it is from being worn out. Really shouldn't be pressure there.

Welcome to YT
I'll suggest to check to determine if check valve(key 11) is clogged.
