51 M TOM check valve leaking a lot

Could use a little help if anyone has had similar issues
and fixed or replaced one of these assemblies.
The manual says the check valve assembly should not be taken apart unless a new assembly is to be installed.
So, not sure if a new assembly is even available or if there is another remedy. Source for used or aftermarket parts ?
This unit has been used a lot over the years between snowplowing
and log hauling so probably just a worn out check valve. Lots of ups and downs over the 30 yrs I've had it..
Any help appreciated.

A little more detail would be
appreciated. Symptoms? What do you mean
by check valve leaking?

Be aware that there are two different
check valves for a 51. There was a
pressure upgrade at one serial number
and then Deere found a supply of the
older lower pressure units and changed
back to them. You can put xx for the
first two numbers if you are
uncomfortable posting the complete
serial number. I'll pull up the files in
the morning and take a look but I'm
thinking it's possible to lap it sorta
like you would an injector.

M-man , by leaking I mean fluid comes out of the check valve
assembly hole at the snap ring when the drawbar is raised.
It is at the top left side of the TOM unit by the filler cap.
Although it still works It seems to have lost some pressure
due to the leak. I don't have the down pressure on the snowplow blade like before it started leaking .
Doesn't seem to be anything for replacement
parts from a extensive online search so may have to work with what I have.
There is a pushrod, check valve and a spring in there and not much else so probably one or two of those items is going.

If your talking about some of the valves and poppets on the hydraulic valve, most of them are just O-rings and can be matched at any decent tractor dealer. Done quite a few over the years. Good Luck!

Thank You John, Sounds like a good place to start .

Shoot me an email. Mine is open on
classic. I have several tom units in the
basement and I'm sure I can rob what you
need off one.

Could you tell me if there are any special tips about installing the new o rings like lubing the new o ring with hyd fluid or just insert dry ? Its a tight fit for sure.
I pulled the plug out and haven't removed the old o-ring yet but looks more leathery than rubber. Ordered a new o ring a week ago from deere but still waiting for it to arrive by mule train mail.
