I recently bought a 4040 with a m&w turbo kit! The pump is a roosa master rotary pump. Has anyone ever turned the pump up? It's still set at factory settings. Thanks

StanadyneRoosa/Master pumps on most JD applications need torn down to remove the shims behind the leaf spring if still in place. Shims were installed to prevent turning max fuel up from outside.

The shims were used on two roller pumps. If you have a DM4 pump it needs to come apart so the rollers can be set correctly on the centrality gage. If not set evenly there's a risk of head/rotor seizure.

their is another way need to turn the leaf spring tighter you will find it after you take off the top of the pump 3 screws mater of tacking throttle linkage out in the bottom back a small hole to stick a Allen wrench down the hole to turn the screw tighter on the leave spring half a turn might be enough. You may need a book to do it.

Yeah, the shims prevent any real adjustment. I have turned these up slightly and makes a difference if you can get a 1/16-1/8 turn from both screw heads, and they become pretty smoky. That mw turbo seems to be almost too small on my all my applications to really handle a fuel up condition, but you can get some gains with them.
