Innes constant power PTO

Has anyone seen one of those Innes constant power PTO's on a 2 cylinder Deere or is it in literature only. This is completely new to me and I've been around the 2 cylinders for 6 decades.

I had never heard of it ether...looks interesting...

There is a guy in a Facebook group that managed to find one, and has done a lot of work fixing it up. I haven't seen it mounted on a tractor yet.

I do have an Innes power unit. Literature is few and far between. I have it ready to roll just gotta finish a guard and find one more sprocket. Then I need the correct tractor to fit it on. It doesnt work on hand start. It's for early electric start tractors. I tried it on a 41B, but the axle spacing was different from my mount.

Does it mount such that the rock shaft is usable for front mount cultivators? Looking at the literature in Tim’s reply it’s hard to guess how far inboard it sits over the axle.

I found that pic on the internet,,,first one i have ever seen,,would be a cool thing to take to Rantual....

No sir. The pulley and belt would be in the way of cultivator use. This would be used for something like a 1 row or 2 row pull behind picker. A baler, rake, mower. Cultivators would most definitely be an issue. Are you in the two cylinder club of facebook group?

Yes Tim. I beleive carl Swisher did a presentation there touching base on the innes company. But I've only ever seen one. And two other people have owned them, but I'm almost positive the 2 other owners, and i, have all owned the same unit. There is alot of resemblances in pictures that tell me, it's the same one.
