what all could have been added to any of the 2 cylinders tractors from other companys?
power block from tractor supply? who made add on 3 pt hitchs? power steering from who?
what else? wide fronts?

im just curious, i know m&w made a lot of stuff for farmalls

thanks for your help!

Shwarts made wide fronts. Yakima made 3 points. Baker made high speed add on gears and hydraulic valves. M&W made aluminum pistons. Heisler made heads and manifolds. Now days there are lots of engine builders making new and better heads, blocks, manifolds, and cranks for them. F&H made wheels also.

I've seen water injection into intake. I have an A that had it set up so it was stealing water from the radiator. I would guess this wasn't a john Deere add on . Can someone explain the principle and purpose to me.

Water was injected on the all fuel tractors to limit the detonation knock when using tractor fuel under heavy loads, a poor grade but in expensive fuel similar to kerosene, or light diesel.

The late Duane Larson presented an interesting workshop at the 2006 Gathering of the Green entitled "Aftermarket Equipment", and it showed many two-cylinder add-ons. In addition to all those already mentioned, it included many seat manufacturers (Dependable, Knoedler's "Flow-Ting", Fleischer & Schmid's "Nu-Mat-Ik" and "Joy-Rider", and Monroe's "E-Z Ride"). Johnson Machine, which was famous for Hi-compression piston kits and cold manifolds, Kosch made an anti-shock steering aid, ARPS made half-track kits, M&W also made Hi-Lift rocker arms for models "70" and "G", several companies made cabs, there were water pump kits, aftermarket electric starter kits, and so on. But the most unique thing was this "kick starter" kit that Duane said was carried in several catalogs for a few years. Anybody ever seen one of those?

My late uncle modified and mounted an Allis Chalmers round bale loader on the side of the 1950 B. Sorry I don't have an actual photo. I'll try and include a link to an online photo of the loader mounted on and AC.
Richard Son of a gun I think it worked!

M&W made pistons for John Deeres and other items... my cousin has my grandfather's 70, that was equipped with an M&W "water manifold".

That Innes live power thing is interesting Claud. Innes dry bean equipment was always popular around here but I didn't know they made anything that intricate. I thought they were more in to the fabricating than machining.

I had never seen or heard of this attachment until I found this ad in an old magazine....I was familiar with the Innes company from their bean equipment

Dad and I had a 46 A with a Power-Block, had to convert to 12 volt to get it started. I also installed a Baker-Valve for remote Hydraulics. It was sandwiched under the Power Lift control so you still had the lift to cultivate. I always thought it was better then the John Deere system. It also had a drawbar and drawbar frame off a 60 so we could use the Quick Tach brackets for the number 5. For light work I always thought the Power-Block used less gas then the All Fuel pistons
