I have a 2555 mfwd with cab and tss transmission. Recently it has been slipping out of 1rst/5th gear. If I hold the shift lever in as I take off it will usually stay in but otherwise it just slips out. It feels that the gears arent engaging fully. I have tried adjusting the shift lever but that is not the problem. It is clearly internal. My questions are whether it is most likely a gear, shift fork or detent ball. Whether or not I would be able to see or diagnose anything by removing the shift cover through the floor of the cab or if I will need to split the tractor to diagnose it. Any information would be helpful. Thanks
