A big THANK YOU to everyone who gave me
advise and sent instructions on
troubleshooting and repairs of this system.
I was able to get it fixed and charging
again.

I'm curious if you are an electrician, electronics technician or electrical engineer?

Thanks for responding to tell of your success. Always a good feeling

So what was the problem or problems?

I'm not an electrician, I'm a mechanic, heavy equipment operator and truck driver at my work. I do know about repairing 6, 12 and 24 volt systems but this 12/24 volt was a different challenge, but a good learning experience. I found several wires that weren't hooked up or hooked up wrong and the resistor in the ignition switch had too much resistance, but the main problem was a small wire that connects two terminals on the starter was missing. I wouldn't have known that without the wiring schematic of this unique system that a few guys had sent me of the factory service bulletin for this tractor.
