2 day Tractor, Equipment, and Parts Auction.

Hope someone posts an auction report back on this one. What an accumulation of Deere equipment and parts. Bill was exceptionally passionate about the 10 to 55 series. I beleive the word on the street is that the business model was acquiring a lot of well used rough equipment and 'restore" them to whatever degree. A primary part of the restoration was simply new paint it is said.

you boys better get to bidding on this super rare machine here

Bill sure was a good painter. He bought some of the roughest Florida and Georgia tractors I ever seen and ran them thru the shop. Patched them and put a great paint job on them. I know of a good many unhappy people after they realized the paint was the best thing on the tractor. He also imported a bunch self propelled choppers from overseas. Tom

Bill was a personal acquaintance of mine. I bought some items from him and he treated me fairly. Yes Bill was not the most honest person but I give him credit for all the "stuff" he accumulated and "restored". I told people you need to consider the original condition of the item and take that into account before buying the item. He had several local shops that did much of the mechanical work. If you needed something (parts or complete machine), he could usually locate the item. He was in business for many years so he must have done something "right". God rest his soul.
