Hole in the radiator neck of my JD 730

I just noticed a small hole in the radiator neck of my JD 730. I saw in the parts catalog that you can buy this part. Can someone tell how you would go about removing the old one and installing the new one ? If not replacing it is easy, can someone maybe tell me if there is a simple way to plug the hole? From the looks , it seems someone in the past might have tried to plug it.

Clean it up and solder it with acid core solder. I changed one of those on a 530 and I darn near ruined it trying to get it driven into the casting. If I do another I'll grind the OD so it is not so tight and use JB weld to hold it in.

I'd use JB Weld under and over a strip of tin--fast and easy if you just wanna use it. I've used it with metal window screen as reinforcement over holes too. That helps it stay in place until it hardens. The quick set is not rated for as high a temperature as the slow set, but it should be fine for a radiator. I don't remember what it's temperature is. Clean it well and sand it first, of course.
