Hope this helps.

Thanks, I have the same manual. I have just seen other posts they use 15-40. I have always used 30W. I just wanted to minimize the different oils. Thanks

We use 15-40 in all of our antique tractors.

A lot depends on the condition of the engine. I use 60W racing oil in my 1935 JD B but it does also smoke a lot and uses a lot of oil. But if it has ever been rebuilt in would have been done back in the 50s. If it is in good shape you can run say a 20W-50 or a 10W-40. Oils have change for the better since it was built
