I have purchased a 1956 jd 40. It does not have the correct carb on it and I would like to put the right one on it. I have looked at the ones hara and see new ones or rebuilt ones, different carb numbers for the engine. What do you guys that have 40s run and what do you all recommend?
thanks
Dale

We have the TSX-530 on our 40S and 40T.

Hope this helps.

Thank you James. If I remember correct you are in Dallas Tx. I was in the area from 83 till 95 working for Texas Instruments. Love The Lone Star Dale

not sure. But it is one that is 2 5/16 bolt spacing. It worked good before setting for a few years and could probably be cleaned and used. I just want the correct one. The rest of the tractor is in great condition
