I did what everyone on here says not to. I bought a 2630 with hyd. problems. It has a nice 145 loader and the loader will not raise. Owner had the local Deere dealer come out and they changed the filter and told him $5000 to fix it right. Not sure what I will find or even when I will get a chance to work on it. It does not have hi-low or independent pto so it should be easier to track down the problem or maybe it will just get parted out. The 276 engine would be great in a 2510-2520. I have bought several Dubuque tractors with hyd. problems and so far have been lucky in getting them fixed. Someday I will get burned on one of them. I would much rather work on a Waterloo tractor but there is a good market for the little ones. Tom

IMHO there is daylight & dark difference in Waterloo & Dubuque built hyd systems even though they utilize the same frt pump on some models. Waterloo tractors being much easier to diagnose/correct problems when hyd problems raise their ugly head

Aftermarket valve on loader? O rings blown on closed center plug... Stripped pump coupler.. Rockshaft valve leaking back to sump... Steering valve leaking internally.. With no options if it is not one of above, charge pump?

The 30 series Dubuque tractors were notorious for crack hydraulic tubes in the transmission case. It would dump charge pump oil back into the case so the main pump never got oil. Start by capping off as many devices as you can to eliminate those as possible leaks. If that all proves not to be your problem, I'd bet you have a broken line in the case. Good Luck!
