Today and we failed miserably full flow at zero psi tried to run
it up to 50 psi and the pump wouldn’t even make 15 psi and
almost zero flow . Guess we go back into hock to jdc again

There is not a whole lot of pressure on that line from the transmission , to the front pump , to the cooler ,
to the tank and back to the transmission . The path is wide open without restriction .
As long as it will pump 3-4gpm to the front , its all that is required .

It’s required to pump 1 gallon in 15 seconds at 50 psi if it
drops the book says change the pump it’s definitely not doing
what it should

SV has a yellow handled shut off valve that can put some restriction on the flow from the hyd line.

IIRC some flow restriction is required to properly test trans pump output but it's been many yrs since I performed that hyd test

It’s in spec with no restriction just like a battery that reads 12 volts sitting but when you put the load test to it the volts drop to zero

HMMMMMM, the way I read it, the book says the following:

Take it how you want either way the top has to come off to
check the orings and gaskets it’s been getting weaker for a
long time I’m pretty sure the pump Is shot but we’ll see I
guess I could be lucky enough for an Oring to be bad

I was holding out hope for your $$$ sake it is an external problem external to the pump..

I have seen loose bolts in the aluminum manifold on the pump and even a cracked/broken manifold. It will be interesting to hear what you find!

Take lots of photos!

As quick as I find the cylinder for my engine hoist the top is coming off then we’ll see what’s going on I had the top of two year’s ago and nothing looked loose on the transmission pump but we won’t know for sure until it’s off again

Surprised that some aftermarket jobber does not manufacture a high volume replacement transmission pump .For Waterloo and Dubuque/Mannheim tractors in particular .

Make sure to check play in top shaft bearings. This will destroy pump quickly.
I believes shims are in the front. Good thing is splitting 4030 tranny is a two hours job.
