John Deere 50 6th gear overdrive Kit

Does anybody know if there is anyone that still makes the gear kit to make 6th gear in a 50 or later B faster so you can keep up on tractor rides?

Did not know there was an off the shelf gear set. 12.4X 42 are 110% faster than 11.2X38.

Revving a 50 from 1250 to 1500 never hurt anything and that is another 120% .
Between 12.4X42 tires and rpm. That is almost 16mph instead of 12mph.

B&B Gear Machine, New Lebanon Ohio, 1 937 687 1771, made the gears for my 50, but this was in 2008. No problems yet, and a lot of miles on them, but you will run short of power on some hills with them.

How fast are those gears ?

They take the speed up to keep up with a 60. This is with 13.6X38 tires and the 60 with the same size.

Depends on how you look at the number . 1.20 times more .

I'm with you, 120% more than 12 is 26.4. (12+14.4)
