Unstyled ao

I read a paragraph about unstyled ao ( when you Google unstyled John Deere ao ) it states 248 unstyled ao's where made , is this correct ? Anyone have a list of how many unstyled ao's made each year and total made ? I have seen charts like that in green magazine before . Thanks for any information you can share.

There were 248 AO's built in model year '35 and 613 AO's built in model year '36. These were the only 2 years that AO's were built.

The AO Streamlined , AOS, was built from '37 to '41 with 820 built.

But the unstyled AO continued production after 1941 to 1949; with 1825 more tractors.. The styled AO continued from 1950 to 1953.. Good article on unstyled AO tractors in Two-Cylinder magazine Nov-Dec 1993..

My grandfather purchased a 1935 AO new...and we used it regularly in our Michigan Orchard through the 70's. It suffered a barn fire in the mid 80's but a 90's restoration brought it back to former glory days.

I pulled a 12' spring tooth harrow with that starting at age 9 to stay ahead of Dad's 494 corn planter, just about able to flip the flywheel myself by then! Nice to know of that article-- I'll look for it!
