JD BR Transmission

I have a BR that occasionally pops out of the low side on the high/low shifter. I’m looking for 3 things: 1st is there a repair manual that is for a BR?, 2nd, I would like a transmission isometric for this 4 speed transmission, and 3rd, is there a procedure for setting the rail location.
I have the Operators Manual and PC-190 parts manual. I’m looking for something like the picture of the six speed in SM-2000 but for the 4 speed in the BR

I don't think you will find anything much on the 4 speed tranny. Probably set up like the 6 speed is. Check the outer most bearing in the reduction cover. Those typically are bad and they control where the input shaft sets. Do you have the top cover off yet ? Check the bearings on the top shaft and also look for rounded off or broken teeth on the gears from shifting on the go. You would want the hi-low gear to engage all the way on to the little teeth if it has an adjustment.

Do the things like Mike said but if nothing else if you take the shifter rails out and grind the slot for the detent a little deeper. Put a washer shim on the spring, it will help it stay in gear. We do this all the time on the pullers we build.

Thanks for the reply. Had the top off and the teeth look good. Need to get the little gear into the drive gear about 3/16” more. I’ll check the outside bearing and go from there.
