Hydraulic pump

I am slowly getting my 1969 1020 to a point where I feel like it is reliable enough to use regularly. I am looking at the hydraulics right now and notice that there is a 4 piston pump and an 8 piston pump. Is there a way to distinguish which pump I have by just seeing a mark or something similar to a mark without tearing into the pump?

If it has what looks like 4 bolt heads on the drive side it's a 4 piston.....8 and
it's an 8 piston....you may be able to replace the 4 with an 8 if you want a loader
on the tractor....someone here will tell you if it's a direct swap.
