JD 1020 rockshaft linkage question

I have the rockshaft apart to replace a busted o-ring in one of the valve spools. That went back together fine, but now im having some questions about the linkage. Basically, link#2 in the below diagram, are those studs supposed to be pressed in to the link? Physically joined? Because I dont see how one e-clip holds link#2 to link#4, since that stud moves freely out of #2. Now i took pics of everything before I dissasembled this back in December, but of course that phone got destroyed and lost those pics.[/img:77987a05c0]

I should also mention that the shaft that connects the linkage to the 3pt contol lever was slightly bent at the fulcrum just where it enters the housing... just enough so that i could not remove shaft from housing. But i was able to take roll pin out of fulcrum to remove linkage and piston housing to change o-rings in valves.

Well Im just gonna have to guess, since the parts drawing shows link#2 as one piece, that the bent condition of the control lever shaft somehow made the stud come apart from the link. Since this is the first one ive seen, i have nothing to compare it to. JD sells them, about $150 for that one link and $222 for the shaft, so thats my next option.

I think you're correct. If it was me looking for those over priced parts I would be checking salvage yards as they should have many. Which part # cost $222?

The JD dealer wants $222 for the 3pt control lever shaft, part #AL60565, sub for #AL27221. I will check some salvage places.

UPDATE:
Found a few places much MUCH cheaper. Link I found used for $15, shaft I found aftermarket for $47.

Thanks Tx Jim.
