1969 - 4020 numbers on side panels

I have a 1969 4020 that has been in the family for 50yrs. The "4020" numbers on the side panels have always been a solid yellow instead of the yellow outline seen normally. Both my uncle and I remember them solid yellow. It's been suggested that the outline version was original on this tractor and that the green middle over the yellow wore off, peeled off or something. Has anyone seen solid yellow numbers on a 4020? Anyone have any information about the yellow/green numbers on the 4020's? thanks

Here's a factory brochure shot from late 68. The yellow-outline decals are a later (incorrect) replacement.

Excellent! I'm having mine made in all yellow. Great to find proof I'm not crazy! I've looked but hadn't found the all yellow. Thanks for sharing!

I have a factory sales brochure and to my eyes it looks like they are all yellow with the center being a different shade of yellow or almost a tan. There are some aftermarket ones that are just a yellow outline.I think they look terrible. My 4520,5020,4000 brochures all look the same. Travis Jorde in MN has the best quality decals you can get and if there was a difference based on serial number he will know.Tom

Original 4020 side panel. enlarged you can see some inset color. A different yellow or tan. Never noticed this in real time including the 1970's
