I have a 1956 70 gas that the left brake squeaks on. When I first got it I could push out and down a bit on the pedal and it would stop. So glad not major! I replaced the pads which did not help. I then bought a used brake pedal shaft bolt and it got worse. I then went back to the original bolt and managed to put some shim stock around the bolt and the housing and eliminated some of the play. It is now a bit better, but I still have to hold it down & out a bit to stop making the noise. Anyone else have this problem? Is it a worn out housing or just the pedal bolt or something else. Trying to figure out another option to make it quit grinding.
Thanks!
