Anyone making new pitmans for a John Deere No. 5 mower? I thought I remembered seeing them for sale somewhere, but I can't seem to find them now. I haven't bothered to try Deere; I assume they don't.

Thanks

Joel

Joel

If you chose to do so you could open JD's parts site register & select your JD local dealer then check their part # availability similar to the method I utilized.

Thank you. I'll check with our local dealership Monday. I just didn't think they'd stock anything that old, considering my recent experiences there with equal oldness.

I get mine through Bomgaars John Deere is 3$ cheaper than Bomgaars but I like to buy it locally so they can see people want to buy the hay parts

" I haven't bothered to try Deere; I assume they don't."

WHY would you assume that?

Unless you have a very early #5 the part number is Z9298H and readily available at your dealer for around $25.00.

If you GOOGLE "Z9298H" you will find many sources starting at about $17.00, but with freight the dealer may be the lower-cost option.

Wow. They do? Well, that's a first. I've gone to Deere for so many things they haven't had I just assumed they wouldn't. Good news. Thanks.
