I purchased this 1962 4010 from a wood butcher 22 years ago. The wood guy had rebuilt the engine some 300 hrs earlier and had all the JD parts list from the dealer. 1500 hours later it starts and runs like new. I had to do some things to the transmission a few years ago, new Input Shaft Syncronizer Drum, Synchronizer a PTO bearing and seal. For $5500 It's been a real problem free workhorse on my 173 acre farm here in Missouri.I planted sunflowers about 12 days ago and they are real happy.

Looks good. I always liked the look of the gas engine block with nothing on the side other than the fuel pump and the gen or alt. and the distributer which is usually hid by the side shield. No fuel filters or engine oil cooler. Tom
