My 1250 is leaking hydraulic fluid out the hole in the rear of the gear shift lever mounting collar. Any ideas oh what is it, and how to fix it?

Thanks,
Raymond

YEs, oil level good. And clear. I changed out the hydraulic fluid not too long ago. Thanks for the reply. I"m guessing that there is some kind of seal around the gear shift lever ball, or something. Not sure how to take it out or remove it.

Here is a pic of the hole where the oil is leaking out of.

I'm not sure what that hole is for ? Maybe a locating pin ? does the gearshift seem to work fine and not flop or spin around ? If all seems to work fine maybe just spray it off with brake clean and when dry plug that hole with silicone sealer.

Shifter locating pin goes the other way, side-to-side.

I wouldn't be surprised if that hole is the transmission vent.

Which goes back to the tranny possibly being overfull, or the oil being foamy/frothy.

Thanks, everyone. Yes, everything is working fine, tractor shifting gears and operating normally. There is a similar hole in the other shift lever collar, as well. No oil coming out of it.

I will double check the oil level, maybe it is over filled. Could be that simple.

I tried to post a few seconds of video of the oil coming out, but i don't think it worked. I'll try again below:
