JD A or 60 Connecting Rods

Reconditioning a pair of rods to go from babbit to inserts. Does someone have a rod around that they could look at for me, or take a picture of? I need
to know on the rod when the number 1 or 2 is up, where are the notches for the inserts?

I don't see where it would make a bit of difference.

The parted out 60 I have has brg tang in rod on same side as number and its rite below number. So looking at rod from big end with number up its on the rite

The tangs do need to appose each other.
