I have a leak in the steering metering pump on this 4430...picture attached. It looks like it is coming from where the arrow is, but looking in the archives I see there is a seal around the column that can be a problem as well. First time I have looked at any of this so could use some suggestions. I better start by asking how difficult is it to get the pump out and work on? (Serial #04734412.)

Thanks!

Rich

It's not really a big deal to get the column out to work on it, there's special alignment dowels available to aid in assembly of the pump sections to avoid damaging the delicate Mylar gaskets.

I use the shank end of a couple of drill bits that fit snugly in the the holes of the stacked sections.

Thanks Wore Out! As you said came out easily. Have mylar gaskets ordered...and drill bit for alignment tool is a good idea.
