JD 70 Loader Compatibility

Hello, I have found a John Deere 70 loader locally and wanted to see if it would fit on my 950? Thanks for any help.

I've got a Deere brochure from 1984 on the 650-1650 tractors and it lists the 75 loader as being compatible with the 850-1050 tractors. I've got another brochure that shows the 70 being compatible with the 755/855/955 and 770 tractors which had a smaller chassis. Also, the Deere parts catalog doesn't show brackets being available to mount the 70 on the larger tractors. When it comes to fitting loaders to tractors a lot of liberties can be taken if one is handy with fabrication and welding and custom mounts are made. However, starting with a loader that is too small for the tractor could present problems such as getting the bucket to the ground and having sufficient clearance in front of the tractor when the loader is raised up and dumped.
