The governor on my 1010 doesn't seem to be working. Is there a easy test to tell if it is working any at all? I have adjusted like the IT manual say's and it bogs down a bunch on a small hill and over speeds going down hill. If I remove it The manual say's to hold the lever forward while removing. Is this toward the engine or forward toward the front of the tractor? I don't want to lose the thrust washer in the timing cover.
