John Deere R Fuel Shutoff Leaking

Hey all, my R is leaking around the fuel shutoff by the filters. The fuel is coming up around where the shaft on the dial enters the housing. Who has been in there to tell me the likely issue? I didn't want to go taking it apart without knowing what I was walking into. I see there are 2 flat head screws on either side of the dial so I am assuming that is where I need to enter in order to see the guts. Any help will be appreciated!

I didn't ever know the details about that valve and never had one apart. Mine doesn't want to move so I have never forced the issue as didn't want to have it break or start leaking. According to JD parts it is a simple looking one piece valve. Can be seen on page 24 of the parts book. I didn't check to see if it is still available, but I doubt it. Good Luck.
 
I saw it on the parts page but there isn't enough detail to see what was really going on there. I was hoping someone had some pics of what it all looked like up close.
 
NO big deal, there's a felt ring at the top, under the cover held on by 2 screws that helps keep moisture and debris out, H613R, and an O-ring that actually seals the valve, R459R.

Both can still be had through DEERE (although the felt is some $10).

If you don't want to go to DEERE, and just want to replace the O-ring, it is and Industry Standard #113 o-ring.
 
Just as a follow up. I bought the #113 o-ring as suggested and installed it over Memorial Day Weekend. Worked perfectly. Not a drop of leakage over the 4 days.
